Lorenzo C. Ferguson, affectionately called “Renny” was born on September 11, 1960 in Lakeland, FL. After graduating from Pasco Comprehensive High School, he joined the United States Army in 1979 where he served honorably for eleven years. After his discharge from the U.S. Army, he became a federal civil servant with the United States Army Claims, Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, and retired after 30 years of service. In 1985, Renny met and married Dorothy Ann Paul in Kitzingen, Germany and they went on to have a son Najee Ferguson. Renny was a people’s person; he met no strangers. He was very outgoing, approachable and loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed spending time with family, hanging out with his friends golfing, watching sports and making music. He departed this life on January 2, 2025, at the University of Maryland Medical Center, in Baltimore, Maryland.
He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved and devoted wife Dorothy P. Ferguson, two sons: Najee (Monica) Ferguson, Baltimore, MD and Laquan Ronsha Cuffee, Waco, Texas; three brothers, three
sisters and six grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends whom he loved dearly.
Renny was predeceased by his beloved parents, Rudolph and Geneva Hill and biological father Michael Ardis. We choose to celebrate the life of our loved one, Lorenzo C. Ferguson, by remembering his joyful and happy personality.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in memory of Renny to the charity of your choice via the Combine Federal Campaign “CFC.”

we gathered for the last time with our cousin yesterday on this side of heaven. He will certainly be missed from family gatherings, our family trips, family reunions, and our special group that just hung out. He certainly brought life and laughter to all our gatherings.
We will continue to love on Ann, Najee and the family and keep them close while we keep his memories alive. Rest up, sleep well and we hope to see him on that great getting up morning.
Love to the family,
Derald, Barbara & family❣️

My condolences to the Ferguson and Hill families. As a child growing up in Trilby in the 1970s, I was always in awe when he would skillfully play his trombone out on the street. He was good!
Renny you were a good friend and Classmate. You were our joker. You will be missed by your family and friends.
