Diana Craig Hirsch of Silver Spring, Maryland died peacefully in her sleep of congestive heart failure at home on Saturday, January 7, 2023. She was 82. Diana was born
on May 17, 1940 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Charles A. and Doreen C.S.
Meyer.

Diana graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a degree in Political Science in
1962, then relocated to Washington, D.C.. She earned her Masters Degree in Library
Science at the University of Maryland in 1980. Diana was a true lover of books which
led to her career as a young adult librarian with the Prince George’s County Memorial
Library system. She loved helping people and recommending books they would enjoy.
After 26 years of diligent service, Diana retired in 2006.

She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 60 years, Donald Hirsch, Esq., her
beloved children; David Hirsch (Betsy), Berwyn, PA, Michael Hirsch (Mary),
Henderson, NV, and Amy Pearson (Michael), Ellicott City, MD. as well as the joys of her
life, her 10 grandchildren.

Diana will be remembered during a private memorial luncheon for her family and close
friends in April.

The Hirsch family is sincerely thankful for the kind and thoughtful expressions of
sympathy during their time of bereavement.
